Gold Coast Blaze NBL Join Forces With BRAKE

Gold Coast Blaze NBL join Brake Driver Awareness Program with 2 appointed ambassadors

It was a terrific ending to the year for the multi-award winning Brake Driver Awareness program.

CEO of Gold Coast Blaze NBL, Mr Dave Claxton, gave the thumbs up to joining forces with BRAKE.

He proudly announced that two of the Gold Coast Blaze players, Chris Goulding and Greg Vanderjagt, will be the BRAKE Gold Coast Blaze Ambassadors and in their new role, help grow the message of road safety for under 25s.

The national ambassador Noni Hazlehurst AM made a special visit to the Gold Coast Blaze home stadium at the Gold Coast Convention Centre to meet with the two newly elected ambassadors along with the rest of the BRAKE family.

Noni with Chris Goulding and Greg VanderjagtNoni who is very much behind this program can see that this will be a great advantage for BRAKE and hopes that more support will grow in the future with many more sponsors.

Rob Duncan, the hard working BRAKE founder, and policeman, was very proud to be part of this latest development and can see a great future with the partnership of the Gold Coast Blaze, a formidable National Basketball League team, currently leading the NBL ladder.

Mr Duncan said, “This is the beginning of what I believe to be many wonderful things that can move and shake the BRAKE Driver Awareness Program and make more schools and the community aware that this program is available FREE, due to sponsors and such a wonderful partnership as this with the Gold Coast Blaze.”

“This partnership with the Gold Coast Blaze will assist in spreading the BRAKE road safety message to our young people under 25, their parents and the wider community  to reduce the under 25 road toll”, he said.
