Gold Coast Blaze NBL join Brake Driver Awareness Program with 2 appointed ambassadors.
A very great ending of the year developed with the multi-award winning Brake Driver Awareness program where the CEO of Gold Coast Blaze NBL, Mr Dave Claxton, gave thumbs up with joining forces with the BRAKE program and are very excited to announce that 2 of the GC Blaze players,
Chris Goulding and Greg Vanderjagt, will now be the BRAKE Gold Coast Blaze Ambassadors
and help grow the message of road safety for under 25s.
The national ambassador Noni Hazlehurst AM made a special visit to the GC Blaze home stadium
at the Gold Coast Convention Centre to meet up with the 2 new elected player's along with the rest
of the BRAKE family.
Noni who is very much behind this program can see that this will be a great advantage for BRAKE
and hopes that more support will grow in the future with many more sponsors.
Rob Duncan, the hard working BRAKE founder, who is a policeman, is very proud indeed to have this develop and can see a great future with the partnership of the Gold Coast Blaze, a great National Basketball League team that is currently leading the NBL ladder.
Mr Duncan said, 'This is the beginning of what I believe to be many wonderful things that can move and shake the BRAKE Driver Awareness Program and make more schools and the community aware that this program is available FREE, due to sponsors and such a wonderful partnership as this with the Gold Coast Blaze.
Mr Duncan said, 'This partnership with the Gold Coast Blaze will assist in spreading the BRAKE
road safety message to our young people under 25, their parents, and the wider community to
reduce the under 25 road toll.'
